To receive the maximum benefit on the Regence Blue Shield Selections Plans, you must choose a primary care provider (PCP) from the Selections provider directory. This doctor will coordinate your care. If you make the choice to see a provider outside the Selections network, coverage is provided at a lower level (you must choose a doctor participating in Regence Blue Shield's Extended Network to get that lower coverage). To receive the maximum benefit on the Preferred Plans, you must see a preferred provider (PPO) from the PPO provider directory. You may see any PPO doctor without a referral.
